“Our hearts and prayers go out to the families that have been directly impacted by the disasters wrought by Hurricane Harvey.”
The USCCB has requested an emergency collection in response from all the Dioceses in the U.S. This emergency collection will support the humanitarian and recovery efforts of Catholic Charities USA to provide immediate emergency needs for water, food, shelter and medical care and assist in the long-term recovery from the disaster. Funds will also be used to provide pastoral and rebuilding support to impacted dioceses through the USCCB. Due to the urgency of the situation, Holy Angels Parish will have a 2nd collection on Saturday September 2nd and Sunday September 3rd.
Other organizations in our community are also collecting items to be delivered to those affected. Some of the items they are looking for are: bottled water, diapers, baby wipes, sanitizing wipes, toilet paper, gift cards, clothing and shoes. If you would like to donate some of these items, you may drop them off at the parish office and we’ll make sure they are received by these organizations. We count on your support and prayers!
